Kids had the day off school for parent teacher conferences. To celebrate we went to Disney on Ice with our friends.
Jake was my buddy. Ben and Allen had a camera war with me taking each others pictures. Maddie and Eun Seo got fancy and were super excited to see the beautiful princesses. Maddie even did her makeup all by her self.

Mommy and the Mask
Jacob brought me the nail clippers, trash can and a mask he made in preschool. "Mom, you can wear this while you but my fingernails." He's a nut.

Jonny Jumper Classic
Some things Stan the test of time and I have to say the Jonny Jump is one of them. Ashlyn was squealing in delight today as she bounced and wiggled all over.

Pinewood Derby Time Again
My husband is awesome. It's pinewood derby time in Singapore. Just like other Cub Scout packs everywhere, a whole bunch of dads make cars for competition and the boys don't get to do much but not at our house. We both help them mark their pristine blocks of wood with the most practical reality of their vision each year. Then dad does the cutting with the saw. The kids love it.
This year we went to the clinic as used the pack band saw. It was great. We even spray painted them and didn't have the mess at my house. It was long and outside so really hot and humid but worth it.
Maddie has a good looking basic blue car. Jacob wanted his to he exactly like the car on the box and loves that he got to spray paint it orange. Ben has had a vision in his head for months. He wanted a pencil looking car. I think it looks fantastic.
Funniest part of the day was when Brian and I were talking and he said, "After last year I thought Ben had finally caught the vision of how to win." Last year he was so sad to see his car wasn't incredibly fast. He had talked and talked about how he was going to focus and have it be really great this year. Now that its here, we are back to aesthetics. Hopefully Brian can get it all weighted properly so it can still do pretty well on the big day in addition to looking awesome.

Gina's Babies
Here is Ms Gina with her two cute babies. We had a fun time this morning when we dropped Gina off at the Pitmans place. The kids got a quick 45 minute play date with their buddies and I got the hilarious task of showing Kristy how to use the breast pump so she can leave the baby to do a temple session in Hong Kong next weekend at the women's conference. I had forgotten how horrible that machine really is until I explained how to use it. Can you say, "Mooooooo?"

First Words
Like a good little girl, sweet Ashlyn chose her first word this week. Dad wins again. Early this week she started saying, "Da Da" with a gigantic smile. Yesterday she said, "Bye, bye!" That one has stopped today but I'm sure it'll begin again soon enough.
I also have found her on top of the piano and the kitchen table. She has tried to climb into the high chair. And I had to take down the ladder on the bunk bed after I found her at the top. Punk kid.

Cleanliness is Next to Godliness
I asked today, “Maddie, will you please wash your glasses with soap?” because I couldn’t even see her eyeball through on lense.
“Yeah. They are a little bit blurry on one side today.”
I can’t believe what my kids think they can see through!
