I've been having loads of fun experimenting with my camera this last month. I prodded long enough that one of the four photographers in our ward was finally willing to start a photography enrichment interest group. So I have homework and everything. Check out the best picture from my first assignment so far.

We're remodeling our kitchen. This weekend (Oct 20) we took down our kitchen cabinets and ripped out the soffit above them. By 'we' I mean Brian did all the actual work. Ben walked around on the counter top and swept up the sheet rock mess. Maddie napped and I did a service project at the church. I sure was exhausted by all Brian's hard work though. The cabinets should arrive in 2 weeks, so the plumbing needs to be moved by then and ideally the sheet rock fixed up. Everyone cross your fingers that we have a functioning kitchen when you arrive in December...

This morning Ben had to go to the bathroom about 6:45 am. Brian had taken his parents to the airport at 5 am, so he was long gone. I got up to turn on the light for Ben. I don't remember turning on the light. I just remember shaking on the ground and not knowing where I was. Ben had finished on the toilet and was washing his hands. I had completely passed out. I hit my head on the baby gate metal clasp. I had a goose egg the size of a grapefruit and was in extreme pain. I sent Ben to bed and crawled to the phone and called Brian in tears and had him come home. I was scared to lift Maddie or walk around. I definately have whiplash because I can't move my head without a lot of pain. So, I'm being babysat today and Brian is working from home.
