My thoughts on why Brian wants four are similar to Juli. You only want three because if you have four, you would have to buy a minivan, and Angie ain't goin' out like dat!
Brian has run the numbers and has found to ensure one child be as genius as him he has to reproduce 4 times. After 4 children have been born one will then be gifted with the power to be so smart you should have named him Brain:)
Hmmm...I'm pretty bad at guessing games. :) Maybe Brian wants to try for another girl. And maybe Angie wants to keep it at 3 because 3 is PLENTY! Can't wait to find out what the real reasons are.
Well, since Brian doesn't have to go through pregnancy and c-section, one more probably sounds like fun. But since Angie DOES have to go through all that, three probably sounds like just the right number!

Juli thinks: Brian wants another girl. He thinks Maddie is so cute that she needs a girl friend to play with. Angie realizes that girls are just a bit high maintenance and would like to spend a little less time brushing hair and making bows.
I'm stumped. I would have guessed it the other way around.
But here's my take:
Brian wants 4 so the "Z" family of six can split evenly into 3 teams for various games... or magic tricks (?) Or maybe because Brian's just so dang good with kids.
And Angie is done doing damage to her body and getting up at night with newborns (?)
