In my attempts to have some quiet so I could listen to the General Conference speakers, I sent the kids outside to play in the backyard during the Sunday afternoon session. It was really nice for about 10 minutes. Then Maddie Mae came inside crying that she was all wet. She sure was. She had taken the pan of bubbles I had put out for them to use with the huge bubble wand and dumped it on the ground. Then she took the dripping pan and rubbed it all over her head and clothes. The bottom of her shorts were saturated with bubbles from sliding and falling down in the slippery mess of bubble juice on the patio.
She went to Brian to whine about her state of affairs. He decided the best thing to do was to clean her up right away, so they started in the kitchen sink washing her hands. Pretty soon he decided to take her shirt off since it was getting all wet. Next thing I knew she was almost naked, standing in the sink and he was using the sprayer to give her a shower in the kitchen. Maddie got a bubble bath all right, but not the kind I had in mind. She didn't care for being sprayed too much, but once she had possession of the spray nozzle, the shower bath couldn't be long enough.
